Wood, thin gauge metal studs with stucco or other cover, asphalt shingles or any roof tile, light gauge metal roof, drywall, loose brick, should never be used for an exterior of any residence or building, because they offer limited protection and will be blown away, burn, or penetrated by only moderate size events. Even concrete block walls with rebar or not, concrete filled or not are weak and offer only limited protection, specially against large quakes or impacts./p>

Anyone planning for the much advertised TRIBULATION OF 2012, or the tribulation that is mentioned in the BIBLE, or even World WAR III, will need a self-sufficient house/bunker complex with proper storage for food, water, and fuel. It will need serious security features and must be able to sustain life for seven years or more without any outside assistance.
Beware of people selling you bunkers that have absolutely no effective safety components. Indeed, most underground bunkers will protect well against CBRE TREATS [CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOACTIVE, and EXPLOSIONS from small mortars or grenades or even large ones at close distance] and even natural disasters, but it's our belief that desperate people who didn't prepare for such events, will do all they can to steal what you have and they will be the biggest threat after the event occurs. Unfortunately many have bought into such shelters, with some taking only minutes to break into and they have vents and other devices, such as solar panels above ground with no way to defend them. If your idea of protection includes been protected against military force attacks, even from high power bunker-buster bombs that can penetrate 100ft/30m or more on some materials, we have a solution for that too; with the best protection been a deep tunnel on a mountain with multi-chambers, multi-exits and blast valves and when on normal ground a deep design with multi chambers, multi-layers of specially designed materials and of course been hard to detect by any means by having long access tunnels and some form of camouflage. And if required we can design a multi-turn access tunnel that will be virtually impossible to be breached; with open pits, multi-doors, multi-weapons and other defense mechanisms at every turn. There are also ways to have a perimeter of whatever distance is deemed necessary where no vehicles or people will be able to penetrate if so required. When we say we have solutions not excuses we really mean it.

Above all, do your homework. Anyone can see they made a mistake after a home is built, or should we say most can! Some are so blind, that even after their home is destroyed by a ridiculous fire or weather event, turn around and build the same piece of junk they had before. To plan properly and create a home to be the best possible within a budget takes VISION, TALENT, EXPERIENCE and a NO EXCUSES common sense approach to building based on real conditions. Complete understanding of materials properties and how to use them best and complete understanding of the real effects of the different forces involved in any scenario. Unfortunately the so called experts can't understand much of anything and have more excuses than solutions. Why is it so hard for them to understand the basic forces involved in an earthquake when we have plenty of them to study? Just look at the bridges they rebuild after the originals failed on a medium size quake as the new ones are inadequate also and will fail too at the next quake, even if the quake is the same size as the prior one. Just ridiculous! There is absolutely no excuse with the easy access we have to materials and technology to build combustible, lousy and fragile homes unable to resist a hurricane, tornado, fire or earthquake. Specially when a well built and safe home will cost about the same as a nice, but disposable home.
